The Aiken Horse is a free bi-monthly newspaper distributed locally at tack and feed stores, real estate agencies, vets, etc. We are available at nine SC Welcome Centers, and all major regional equine events in South Carolina. Further, we are in 36 states, primarily along the east coast. We have subscribers across the country and approximately three dozen countries and growing. For display ads, we have multiple insertion discounts. We print six times a year, and cover a wide range of equestrian activities and disciplines. We also offer discounts to local businesses and to qualified 501 C(3) charities. Local Discounts are for local businesses within 100 miles of Aiken County. These discounts are intended to enable Aiken horse businesses to continue advertising with us as we expand. The discounted rate is also available for co-op ads, as long as one member of the co-op is located within our local area. Charitable Rates: The Aiken Horse is dedicated to helping recognized charities publicize their organizations and events. Accordingly, we offer recognized 501 C(3) charities a discount of 15 percent off our advertised rate. Discounted rates apply to regular display advertising only:: classified ads, our cover and other premium positions are not eligible for the discount. We are trying to keep our advertising rates as low as is consistent with providing a quality product for our readers. Therefore, we cannot offer any further discounts to any other businesses. Classified ads are $20 for the first 30 words: 40 cents for each additional word.
